Andy Lurie

Andy is recognized as an accomplished, results-oriented marketing professional with significant experience in marketing, advertising, brand positioning, and event/promotion management. He has experience with on-line/internet, consumer, B2B, niche and direct marketing.
 
Prior to starting his consultancy, Andy was Marketing Manager at EveryNetwork, a bi-coastal IT services company targeting Venture Capital and Private Equity firms. Reporting to the President, he positioned the company as the premier provider of IT services to the VC/PE community and managed the company's re-branding and re-launch including corporate identity, positioning, collateral/sales materials, and web site content. Additionally, he built and expanded EveryNetwork’s Channel Partner vendor relationships to gain greater mind-share and name recognition from companies like Cisco Systems, Microsoft, Verizon, and Iron Mountain Digital.

Andy also developed a 16-week campaign to promoting Cisco products that targeted select group of existing customers. He defined promotion goals, created financial projections, helped select products to be promoted, worked with Cisco Systems to coordinate and plan bi-coastal product training sessions, wrote 4 customer-facing “whitepaper” infomercials, drafted internal staff playbook, helped streamline quote generation process and developed “instant quotes”, created copy for internal promotion website, tracked quotes and subsequent conversion. Campaign ran for only 6 weeks, generating total sales of $304,811 versus a 16-week projection of $205,968.

Immediately before EveryNetwork, Andy was Interim Marketing Programs Manager at AccuRev Software. During his year-long contract, he developed, executed, and coordinated lead generation marketing programs for the configuration management software company via mediums such as print advertising, trade shows, WebEx webinars, direct electronic mail, Google Adwords, and online special interest discussion groups. He also created monthly customer and prospect newsletters. One key element of his position was to help evaluate, recommend, and, subsequently, help implement a new CRM system (SalesForce.com).

While working at Science Curriculum Inc., a Boston-area boutique middle/high school science textbook publisher, he achieved a 16% response rate from direct mailing program targeting academic, private schools, as well as a 2,529% increase in monthly web site visits over two year period.
 
Prior to Science Curriculum, he was Marketing Director for Mass Interaction, a Massachusetts quasi-public authority providing distance learning and central technical services to public schools, public libraries, municipalities, and state government. Reporting to Director of Development, he led a team of professionals to develop marketing plans, including new business development for the corporation’s lines of business. He assisted Director of Customer Relations and Field Sales Manager with strategy and direction. Andy also offered marketing direction and product development support to Massachusetts Community Network, a start-up, state-owned Internet provider, achieving 30% education market penetration during first year of operation.
 
Earlier, he was Marketing Director at Shore.Net, a nationally recognized, New England-based regional Internet Provider. In addition to strategic marketing analysis, as well as planning of new product/service area, Andy is credited with growing subscriber base from 1,200 to 30,000 through an aggressive marketing program including direct mail, trade show, broadcast/print advertising, event sponsorship, and community/public relations. He also managed and coordinated large-scale customer appreciation events, including Shore.Net’s infamous Summer Beachside Clambakes.
 
Previously was Account Executive at WHEB AM/FM in Portsmouth, NH; Account Executive HSN Broadcasting (Home Shopping Network) broadcast group, and ADI Marketing Manager (New England) for Home Shopping Network.

Andy graduated from Ithaca College with a Bachelor of Arts in Economics and University of Hartford with a Masters of Business Administration, Marketing concentration.
